Ringling Engagement Session of Kali and Ryan

There is no doubt that the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida, is a dream venue for photographers to shoot at. But what is even better is getting to photograph a couple like Kali and Ryan at the Ringling Museum.

I clicked instantly with Kali and Ryan. It was truly one of those “meant to be” connections. In the two hour engagement session, we had some time in between walking to the different photo locations where Kali and I got to talk. We quickly realized we had a lot in common, including a shared tragic loss of a sibling, almost to the exact date. 

I tear up thinking about how special this session was to me for so many reasons: the honor of being trusted with such a special season of their lives, the excitement of creating art at one of my favorite venues, and the solidarity I felt with sharing a past trauma with them.

My couples truly mean so much to me, and I am so grateful to be able to share in the stories and lives of others. I am ecstatic for Kali and Ryan’s September wedding at one of Louisville’s most beautiful venues.
