Allison & Bill Wedding

There are not enough words to describe how amazing and kind Allison and Bill are. I was so fortunate to be able to photograph their wedding. But not just because it was a beautiful wedding, but because I got to meet these two beautiful souls.

Their gorgeous Saxon Manor wedding in Brooksville unfortunately had to be postponed due to COVID. But not only did they handle every change that was thrown at them with so much grace, Allison also is an every day hero who fought the COVID battle as a night-shift ICU nurse.

I knew they were so full of kindness and compassion already, but hearing a story in Allison’s best friend’s speech just confirmed it all. Apparently when September 11th happened (Allison was only in elementary school), Allison was deeply saddened by the news of all the kids who were affected by the terrible tragedy, so she decided to collect teddy bears to donate to those children. THAT is Allison. And that is why I still feel so honored to have not only shot her wedding, but to have crossed paths with her.

She sent me probably my favorite client message to date shortly after her wedding. She explained how my husband and I were such a dynamic duo and made them feel so comfortable the entire day. She raved about her photos and how we captured everything perfectly. But one thing she said really stood out to me. She told me that she felt God had purposed us to meet and that we were put in their lives to photograph their wedding for a reason. I am not sure if any bride can ever say anything more meaningful to me, and this is exactly why I love what I do.

Yes, wedding days matter. Of course, the beautiful details and photos matter. Getting the right lighting and exposure matters. But what also matters is the connection you form with your couples. A great client experience goes beyond great photographs. Invest in your couples. Learn about them and form a relationship with them. In addition to providing them with memories that will last a lifetime, you may just gain some lovely new friends too.
